December 2020. The world was a little upside down, everyone was missing everyone, and my room had officially become a cave.

Somewhere along the way, a taller building popped up next door and stole my sunshine. Just like that. No warning, no apology, nothing. My little patch of sunlight was gone, and I missed it more than I thought I would.

Funny how you don't realise how much you love something until it's gone, right?

I started thinking of sunlight as a hug. A warm, golden, no-words-needed kind of hug. The sort that makes an ordinary day feel a little less ordinary.

And maybe that's what I wanted to give the world, too. Little bits of warmth that could travel through the post, cross cities and countries, and land in someone's hands on an otherwise uneventful Tuesday.

I've always been a letter person. The kind who believes paper can hold feelings, envelopes can keep secrets, and a handwritten note deserves a permanent little home in someone's drawer.

So, in the middle of a rather gloomy December, with a sun-starved room and a heart full of feelings, Sunlit Hugs came to life.

Now that we have shipped thousands and thousands of orders all across India, I can happily say that our love is reciprocated ten folds and we are so so grateful for our Sunlit Hugs family! <3

A tiny idea with a very big wish: to make the world feel a little softer, one letter, one postcard, and one hug-at-heart at a time.

Love,
Anneshwa <3

There's something beautiful about the thought that a little idea, born in one room in Dehradun, can find its way into so many homes and hearts.

For me, Sunlit Hugs has always been about the little things that make us feel closer, even when we're miles apart. A few words on paper, a thoughtful little gift, or a letter someone chooses to keep for years. Small gestures, perhaps, but ones that can mean the world to someone.

Watching Sunlit Hugs become a part of so many people's stories has been one of the most special parts of this journey. Every order reminds us why we started, and every person who chooses us becomes a little part of our story, too.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your moments, your memories, and all the feelings in between. We're so glad you're here.

With love,
Bhoomi Arora
